An Overcast Sunset From August 27th 2024

I went to watch the sunset after a challenging day. I enjoy how peaceful nature is. This helps reinvigorate me on account of my physical disability. I hope you are able to enjoy this video. It was filmed on the Norris Whitney Bridge. The vibration in the video was caused by traffic crossing the bridge. This is another time lapse from a pedestrian bridge in Belleville Ontario Canada. I spent 24 minutes filming this just as a rain storm was beginning. For this video I've recorded myself playing the piano for some background music. I genuinely hope you enjoy this. I am feeling weak from my artificial hips malfunctioning. I have really enjoyed the time I spent down at the water. Twitch: twitch.tv...

In this video I have something very special to share with you. I had the opportunity to attend Montreal Biodome on June 21st 2024 with friends. It was awe-inspiring. I often live in the moment. When I am having a hard time with my hips, knees or ankles spending 45 minutes on the waterfront trails in the city where I live brings me to the head space of being objective and I'm free from the burde...

Using The VIA Rail Train For Transportation When You Have Mobility Challenges

In this video I talk about what you need to know in order to use the train for travel when you have mobility challenges. I talk about a temporary injury (such as using crutches while recovering from an injury) or the use of a mobility device due to age, arthritis or a physical disability. Thank you 😊
You are welcome
This is excellent! I really like sunflowers, and they are one of the most amazing flowers God created. It is interesting to watch them move their 'heads' to face the sun during the day. 🙂That's a great pot planter you have it in, too! Thanks for sharing the encouragement.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
In 2022 I went on the trip of a lifetime riding trains across Canada. We spent 3 weeks going from left to right. :) The scenery was incredible. We were in a different city every night, and even spent three nights in sleeper cars. I opted to bring a rollator and a cane since we would be getting on and off trains and buses and my electric wheelchair was not always going to be an option. My rollator walker folds smaller than most and I was able to stow it in the overhead bins or the coat closet on the flights to and from Canada rather than checking it as luggage. As for medications, I asked my pharmacist to print duplicate Rx labels and I put all of my meds into small ziploc bags. Carrying 3 weeks’ worth was just going to be too bulky and as I was crossing an international border (I’m in the US) I wanted to have my ducks in a row. Luggage allowance for the sleeper car was quite limited and while we had unparalleled assistance at the train stations, we still needed to keep our luggage manageable for two disabled adults to carry on our own for short distances. I opted for a soft sided bag with backpack straps that can be concealed when checked for flights. I can carry it on my back and have both hands free for my walker, on which I could place other smaller bags. It worked out well. (Especially when my father carried my bag as well as his lol) I recommend anyone who can manage it to take the trains across Canada. There are long stretches on the Rocky Mountaineer where there is no cellular service and you are 100% in the moment. They present wonderful information without making it feel educational. We then switched to Via Rail Canada for the right side of our trip and continued to be amazed. The scenery across Canada is unreal. I took 2700 photos in 3 weeks. We did not get accessible sleeper cars and we were quite far from the dining car. By the end of the trip I was wiped out and began taking my meals in our room. I just couldn’t walk the distance. The staff was very helpful and took wonderful care of me. They never once made me feel like a burden. One of our hotels (I forget which city) was across the street from the train station. We had requested assistance getting off of and onto the train. They actually took us in the wheelchairs across the street to our hotel!! Talk about above and beyond. At one station I got to ride a staircase wheelchair lift that slides up the handrail. That made me feel fancy ;)
I want to do this so bad. It would be worth every dollar spent on the trip.
@@RonPiggott it is incredible
Thank you for this clear and informative video. I appreciate this so much.
Thanks for the sunset. My house is surrounded by forest and I'm usually at home when the sun is setting so i rarely see it like this.
You are welcome. I am enjoying doing this. It has been great sharing this with others.
That is a beautiful sunset. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all.😊
You are very welcome. I've been enjoying filming these. I need to have other content for my youTube. I enjoy posting these.
Thank you so much for doing these they really helped. And I have them saved for later on this winter when things get hard for me.😊
So welcome. I have another one to share tomorrow
Thanks for the relaxing video. 😊
You are welcome
Thank you so much for this great video! I really like the narration added, as it makes the visuals even more meaningful or understandable. The gradual sunset is beautiful. Are those ducks that we see about halfway through the video, all swimming in a row?
Hello cutie pie! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! This would make a great painting. Is this the Rideau?
Thank you for the beautiful landscape in the train ride and helpful tips for travel! 🙂
Very welcome. We live in an amazing country.
Thank you for sharing your windy day setup. I have been trying to paint the small metal part on a garden hoe, and it's tricky to keep it from getting runny or not enough coverage. I usually paint with a small box and bricks outdoors, but maybe I'll try a larger box. Thanks again for your video!
I definitely needed this video tonight. My night was so stressful and this just calmed me right down.😊

Wow, that must have been really cool to go see.
It was truly amazing. I have a bunch of video clips to share that I will get ready as soon as practical. I am just about to upload 2 videos of Gary now that he is comfortable with me!
For some reason it says that the livestream recording is not available.
Thanks for sharing.

I am really enjoying this.

Nice to see you again Ron. Great tips for the budding gardener. I hope your able to get down to the water and enjoy.
I don't know if I will make it down there today. But I am going to try to tonight or tomorrow. I have been physically weak while trying to recover concerning my hips. Even if it is just for 20 minutes I find it so enjoyable. Thanks for your support Peter.
Hi Ron. Stumbled upon your 8 year old video while searching for opinions around rain and e wheelchairs. Got mine fairly recently, it has the motors and wiring right by the back casters, around 6 inches of clearance from the ground. Pretty much everyone says to cover up the controller. I'm wondering if it's fine for the batteries and motors to get wet as well? Of course I'm talking about raindrop splashes bouncing on the ground and such, not submerging them XD. Have you found any useful waterproofing solutions since publishing this video?
😂 thank you for brightening the day

I was actually able to get out for a very short time yesterday. But today was too cold again. But it's getting closer and closer to the time that I can go out just about every day.😊
Spring is in the air :) Nice hearing from you today :)
I'm glad that you're feeling a bit better. 😊
Thank you. I am going to be working on videos for the next few days. I got behind. I feel bad about it. The past few weeks have been so hard.
@@RonPiggott Don't worry about it. We're here for when you post them. Things get hard sometimes. I don't know if I told you or not, but I'm moving May 1st into a different apartment building which means I will no longer have to apartment camp. I'll be able to use my apartment like everybody else does.
Thank you so much for this! My crutches was really in need of new handles :)

Oh, you can totally tell he's thoroughly enjoying that his face tells everything. 😊
Once when I gave Rocky apple he started chirping. It is great to see Gary happy. I can't wait for him to grow.
So, so cute!!!!!!
he is so cute
Thanks :)
I need to try to go back to journaling every night before bed. It was a way I got things out of me so I could sleep better. It is harder for me to do now. Seeing that I have a harder time writing. And I haven't found a really good app. That works for this due to the fact that the talk to text messes things up quite a bit. But maybe I'll start trying to keep a written journal agand I know it helped before.😊
Sending prayers your way.
Thanks. 20 pounds of 1/8" x 36" round rods arrived for modifying the guinea pig cage into hamster cages arrived today. This will do all of cage #1 and the lower floor of cage #2.
